A quiet reading
Oh Spirit, unseen but ever near, Hold me in this fragile hour, Where shadows deepen, And love feels like a distant dream. Whisper to my aching heart, And remind me of what is true.
I am adrift, lost in the sea of longing, Carried by waves of what was And what will never be again. Lift me gently, Spirit, Out of this sorrow’s tide, And anchor me in Your unshakable love.
Breathe into the hollow spaces, Where hope once lived, And let Your quiet light Fill the cracks of my breaking. Show me that I am not alone, For You are here Closer than my own breath, Deeper than the ache I carry.
Guide my eyes beyond the illusions of loss, To the eternal truth that cannot be broken: Love is not a fleeting ember, But a fire that burns in all things, In me, in You, in everything we touch.
Plant in my soul a seed of peace, And water it with Your grace. Let it grow into a love That is no longer bound by form, A love that flows freely, Beyond the limits of this lonely heart.
Teach me, Spirit, To see beauty even in the pain, To hold my own soul As tenderly as You hold me. Show me that heartbreak is not the end, But a doorway to deeper knowing, A path to a love unending.
Though the night feels long, Let me trust the dawn. Though I walk this road alone, Remind me: I am never apart. You are the breath in my lungs, The stillness in my storm, The infinite in my fleeting moments.
Oh Spirit, cradle me now. Remind me of the truth beyond my tears: That even in this silence, I am whole. Even in this longing, I am loved. Even in this heartbreak, I am held.
Amen.
