The Power of Vulnerability: The Courage to Be Seen

To stand before you without armor is one of the most frightening things I could choose.

In that moment, I am visible, open to being met or misunderstood.

There is fear: of rejection, of being seen and found wanting.

There can also be freedom in saying, Here I am, still imperfect, still human.

Vulnerability takes courage, but courage is not exposure without discernment. Armor once protected me. I will not despise it for doing its work.

I can loosen one piece at a time, where trust has been earned, where no is respected, where my truth will not be used as a weapon against me.

Strength is not only the tearing down of walls. Sometimes it is the wisdom to keep a gate, to choose who enters, and to leave when safety changes.

I stand before you not because I owe you everything, but because I choose to offer something real.

Flawed, becoming, and enough, I remain whole whether you stay or not.
