A quiet reading
In the cathedral of relationship, feeling can become a doorway: joy, grief, love, anger, each asking to be noticed.
To feel deeply can resemble prayer. A tear may be water at the threshold. A laugh may fill the rafters. An ache may ring like a bell, not always with an answer, but with a presence.
Nothing human needs to be shamed here. And not every feeling must be entered all at once. Distraction can be avoidance, or it can be a small shelter until we have strength, safety, or another person beside us.
When sorrow is met gently, it may soften. When anger is heard, it may reveal a boundary. When love is held without grasping, it may show us what is possible.
I sometimes find the Divine there, not as a rule for every soul, but in the raw fact that a heart can feel and still remain a heart.
No one must break open or walk through fire to awaken. There are quieter revelations: the breath returning, the hand unclenching, the permission to stop.
God may be stillness for one, storm for another, or a word left unnamed. In this temple of feeling, wholeness is not the absence of pain. It is the room we make for truth, care, and choice.
Take a moment before choosing what comes next.
