The Weight You Carry

A quiet reading

It isn’t just the food on your plate That must be broken down, It’s the moments that pass unnoticed, The memories that linger in your chest, The emotions you hold too tightly, Like stones you can’t swallow.

Life isn’t meant to sit heavy in your stomach, It’s meant to be digested, Processed, Transformed. But we forget this. We take in more than we can handle, More than we allow ourselves to process, And it piles up, A weight that we cannot name, But feel in our bones.

Every thought left unresolved, Every tear unshed, Every joy not fully embraced They stay with you, Waiting to be digested. And until you sit with them, Until you turn them over in the fire of your awareness, They will haunt you, Like a hunger that can’t be filled.

You must let go. You must allow the experiences of your life To nourish you, Or release them, For they cannot stay forever. To carry them without processing, Without understanding, Is to weigh yourself down with the past, While the present slips through your fingers.

So sit. Sit in the stillness of your own heart, And let it digest what you’ve been holding. Let it turn the raw moments of your life Into wisdom, Into love, Into light. For you were not meant to carry the weight of the world. You were meant to be free.

Take a moment before choosing what comes next.
