A quiet reading
I am a mosaic of perceptions, reflections in countless mirrors, each one casting me as villain, savior, stranger, friend. None holds the whole truth.
In one story, I am light. In another, shadow. I am more than either, yet I am not invisible to the impact I leave.
Every gaze is colored by belief, wound, desire, and fear. Some see joy as warmth, others as fire too wild to touch.
Their scripts are not my identity. Still, a mirror may show an angle I could not see alone. Not every criticism is projection. Not every praise is truth.
The same rain can nourish one field and flood another. The rain does not choose, but we can still answer for where the water goes.
Why chase every approval when vision shifts with the tide? Why shrink to fit each frame? And why refuse every reflection simply because it is incomplete?
When the voices fade, one reflection remains nearest: the one I can meet without disguise.
I am not only what they name me. I am not untouched by them either. I am a living source, changing, answerable, and still my own.
Take a moment before choosing what comes next.
